This is my poetry blog, updated as regularly as I write, which isn’t entirely regular.
The poems contained within are free verse, and while I don’t upload drafts, I don’t heavily edit anything either. The main thing I look for in anything I write is if I feel I’ve gotten the point across in the way I wanted to say it, and leave it at that. I’m still starting out with poetry, it’s mainly a talent that people have encouraged me to exercise and pursue.
My actual background is in theatre and film arts, my main emphasis being the performance thereof, so I lean more heavily towards the verbal cadence of the writing than any specific form or structure. My chief inspirations come from authors such as W.B. Yeats, and Vladimir Mayakovsky, both artists and revolutionaries whose work I greatly admire.
