WotLK Release Party (And most Epic Hogger Raid Ever)
So I know I said this site was just for poetry, but I’m expanding on that now especially after writing two comedic pieces, with a third waiting to be written. And I wanted to add this page because I don’t have anywhere else good to put it.
Of my addictions, aside from smoking hookah and writing things late at night, I also play World of Warcraft, and being that I currently live in Long Beach, I went to the release party Blizzard was throwing at Fry’s Electronics. It was spectacular! It was actually a bit of an “Oh shit!” moment as I called Fry’s around noon, and asked, “So, when do you think people are going to start lining up?” They said, “Oh, since yesterday, maybe.” So I said, “Oh, shit!” and started to get my stuff together. I actually didn’t arrive till 4PM, and was just around the corner behind the building (which actually turned out to be ‘very close’ to the start once the line got to its full size), and I waited. Luck of the draw, some people after I arrived ended up showing up with a Horde Battle Standard, and we all stood around it chatting Horde things. They were actually pretty cool. When and if all the video footage that was taken gets posted up, you’ll be able to see me doing the moonkin dance and the human dance near this banner. I also had a paper sign I made right after arriving: LF24M HOGGER. You’ll see it here in a few seconds, it cracked people up.
Now, the big thing that made everything take so long was that we were there for signatures. Blizzard passed out snazzy, holographic wristbands for it, and around 11PM we were allowed to get moving. I was in line until 2AM before I had all my shit signed and paid for, but it was well worth it for the good times. So here’s some pix:
